미주 북향민협회는 미국에 정착한 북향민들에 대한 생활 안전지원을 최우선으로 하며 이들이 미국사회의 안정적인 정착과 자유롭고 행복한 삶의 향유를 통하여 얻은 자유민주주의 제도의 우월성을 북한사회에 알리는 활동을 비롯하여 미국내 국민들과 여러 동포들과의 다양한 문화행사와 교류를 도모하며 친목과 화합을 확산시켜 향후 미국과 여러 동포사회의 긴밀한 유대관계 조성에 기여함을 목적으로 출발하였습니다.

The Association of North Koreans in the United States of America was established with the aim of contributing to the creation of close ties between the United States and various Korean communities in the future by promoting various cultural events and exchanges with the people of the United States and various compatriots, including activities to inform North Korean society of the superiority of the liberal democratic system that they have gained through stable settlement in American society and the enjoyment of a free and happy life.
